Privacy policy
This policy covers the game Maverick Skies (including its free demo) and this website, maverickskies.paradicehub.com. Both are made by Hugo Silva, who is responsible for the data described here.
In short: the game has no ads, no analytics and no account of its own. Played offline, nothing leaves your computer. Data is only sent when you use an online feature, and only what that feature needs.
The game
Stored on your computer only
Your saves, settings, hangar progress, run statistics, replays and crash or error logs are written to files on your own computer. They are not sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the game's data folder removes them.
Online multiplayer through Steam
If you host or join an online game on Steam, the game uses the Steam account you are already signed in to. To list games, invite friends and connect players, Steam handles your Steam ID, your Steam profile name, your online friends list (to show whom you can invite), and the game traffic between players. That data is processed by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy. We do not store it.
Online multiplayer through Epic Online Services
If you play online through Epic, the game signs in with an anonymous ID that Epic creates for your computer. No Epic account is needed. Epic receives that ID, the pilot name you choose, the details of the games you host or join, and the game traffic between players, which may be relayed through Epic's servers when a direct connection isn't possible. That data is processed by Epic Games under the Epic Games Privacy Policy. We do not store it.
Online games connect you directly to other players, so, as with any online game, they can see your connection's IP address.
Online challenge boards
Challenge boards are off by default. If you enter a board server in Settings › Challenges, each finished Challenge uploads its replay file (your inputs and results for that run) to that server, and the board's best replays are downloaded to play as ghosts. The server's operator receives the replay and your IP address. Clear the server setting to stop.
Links
Links in the game, such as the store page, open in your web browser. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party scripts or fonts. Like any web server, it records basic request logs (IP address, time, page requested and browser type) to keep the site running and secure. The logs are not used to identify you, not shared, and kept only for a short time.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and the game does not ask for any.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data about you, and you can complain to your data protection authority. Since we hold almost nothing about you, most data lives with Steam or Epic, and you can manage it in your account there. For anything held by us, contact us below.
Changes
If the game or this website starts collecting anything new, this page will be updated before that happens, and the date at the top will change.
